Massage Therapy Journal in the Summer 2007
Mike Hamm and I wrote this article largely derived from the class I teach about working with trauma in the context of massage because I found it to be misunderstood and wanted to help clients get more of what they need from bodywork. Also I wanted to help practitioners understand how to best care for themselves in the context of traumatized clients. I hope this can be of help. There are many resources out there for further study. Massage Therapy Journal in the Winter 2008
Temporomandibular Dysfunction shows up in many people for many reasons. I have a mild form of it myself and have seen plenty of clients with it.Once again Mike and I decided to write an article with perspectives including local issues in the jaw and surrounding tissues but also with an eye on the larger neurological and structural issues also at play. The illustrations included are Mike’s wonderful work. This was published in the Massage Therapy Journal in the Winter 2008 issue.
